Hey Friends! 💚
We get a lot of questions about the difference between juicing versus blending. Some of the most common ones are:
•Why should I juice instead of blending?
•Isn’t the fiber important?
What’s the difference between juicing and blending?
🌈
Juices and smoothies require different equipment.
Juicers have blades or gears that grate and grind produce. •A juicer spins or squeezes your juice out of the produce pulp
•The pulp is separated from the juice
•Juicing feeds your blood stream within minutes and packed with nutrients.
🌈
Blenders still have a blade, and a higher speed!
•The pulp stays in the smoothie and makes it thicker
•If you're looking to refuel, especially before or after a workout, Smoothies is the way to go!
🌈
A juicer will extract the juice and remove the pulp from your produce. What you’re left with is all of the liquid from your veggies and fruit, and none of the pulp. You’ll consume nutrients within minutes because it floods straight to your blood stream. 💚
A blender takes the whole veggies and fruit and pulverizes it into a thick drink. You get all of the liquid AND the pulp from your produce.
💚
What about the fiber? Don’t I need it?
Whether you juice or make smoothies, you will still get some fiber. There are the two kinds of fiber—here’s how they work in your body:
💚
Soluble fiber – This remains in your juice even when you take out the pulp.
Soluble fiber absorbs water in the intestines, forming a gel that helps slow the transit of food through your digestive tract. It also acts as pre-biotic to support healthy bacteria in the gut.
💚
Insoluble fiber – This remains in your smoothie as the pulp.
Insoluble fiber makes you feel full because it literally takes up more room in your stomach. This fiber helps keep you regular. Since your body doesn’t absorb much of it, it also adds bulk to your stool.
💚
At the end, both are great and yummy!
Juices are the rock stars of the health world. They condense several servings of fruit, vegetables, and other superfoods into a single, easy-to-consume drink. Because so much is packed into one juice, incredibly nutrient-dense and have an impressive list of health benefits!
That’s why they have so much appeal. There is simply no other way to provide this many benefits and nutrients in a single serving. Sometimes it’s hard to eat 8 carrots or 8 celery stalk a day.
Here are seven benefits you can expect with a daily juicing.
🍊
1. Alkalizes the Body
Your body’s pH is like the Goldilocks principle. It can’t be too acidic. It can’t be too alkaline. It needs to be just right (between 7.35 and 7.45 pH).
Your body has natural buffer systems that keep it within the ideal pH range. But when you drink alcohol or consume processed foods it can cause your body to become more acidic.
In response, your body has to pull buffering minerals from elsewhere in the body to maintain your pH. This can result in a wide range of issues including weak bones, fatigue, stiff joints, mentally ill and digestive problems.
Consuming plenty of green vegetables helps maintain alkalinity. And the easiest way to do that is with a juice every day.
🍊
2. All-Day Energy
When you’re feeling tired, what’s the first thing you reach for? Coffee? A risky energy drink?
While some caffeinated drinks like tea and coffee are perfectly healthy in moderation, they aren’t a remedy for the real reason you’re tired.
An estimated 9 out of 10 people are lacking in key vitamins and minerals. When your body is starved of nutrients, it simply won’t work the way it should, leaving you feeling fatigued.
Juices are the perfect remedy. They provide a near-instant lift in energy. And unlike caffeine or synthetic stimulants, there’s no late-afternoon crash.
